Well, I have made it through my first week in Seattle and all I have to say is the week went too fast. After a little delay leaving LA, we finally made our way up to Seattle. Adi drove the first leg up to Seattle as I kept on looking back to soak in all the scenery of Los Angeles. We got on I-405 and went past Westwood and Brentwood so I got to see for the last time UCLA and my old neighborhood where I grew up as a kid. We merged on to I-5 and as we went over the Tehachapi Pass 
had one last glimpse of Southern Cal. On our way north, Adi took CA-99 by accident instead of staying on the I-5. Luckily for us they parallel each other and we ended up driving through Sacramento.
I drove the rest up till about Redding. Adi took over thank fully and drove though Mt Shasta all the way to Roseburg in Central Oregon for us to stay over and sleep.
We had been awake now for over 35 hours (I had spend the last 12 hours in LA packing and then going to the post office at LAX after 6 boxes didn't fit in the car) and we didn't think it was a good idea to keep going all the way sleep de
prived. At Roseburg the next morning I took control of the car and drove all the way to Seattle. I have to say it was a beautiful drive seeing all the mountains and rolling green hills and blue rivers. It was exciting entering Seattle as I drove to Guy's Igloo. 
When we got there we unloaded the car and headed off to the Bucket to go surprise Galit. Well was she surprise, hehehe.
The rest of the week well I got acclimated with the neighborhood and getting around the Eastside. Tell me where you want to go in Seattle and the Westside and I can get you there. Here on the Eastside I still get confused to which way is North.
On Tuesday Adi and I went on a hike to Twin Falls. It was about 4.2 miles roundtrip but it sure didn't feel like it. That was one of the most beautiful falls I having seeing. It wasn't just one fall, it was about 4 all together with the big drop saved for last.
We continued our trek for waterfalls along the I-90 and we stopped at Week Falls. It was a nice waterfall, but nothing compare to Twin Falls. Then we continued out journey and went looking for Franklin Falls. Well snow stopped us. We didn't need chains exactly, it was just that the snow was hard as ice and the car wouldn't make it over. Good thing it didn't because I had a flashback of Big Bear after we crossed the bridge on foot. Ice was all over the place. We decided to come back after a month to let the snow melt. 
We left and headed home for Passover and to take a breather. Now the same place we went to looking for Franklin Falls is not a place I want to go with the snow level down to 2000 feet. Maybe next time after a few runs at driving in the snow, but I sure don't want to drive on ice.
The next few days I spend looking at places and the last two nights finally went to Seattle. Went looking for our In-and-Out replacement and we think we found it. It's called Dick's. Burgers at In-and-Out prices and great shakes. We went to Capitol Hill and Queen Anne Hill. We went to a nice park with a great vista of Seattle and then headed home. Yesterday went back to Dick's and to the park to take pictures of Seattle and we headed out to West Seattle. Went to Alki and just stared into the dark Sound as we saw Ferries go back and forth at 2 am and saw a distant lighthouse off one of the islands. Then we headed to the Alki Point Lighthouse, but it was hard to see the lighthouse because of the location. Then we went home.
Today I saw and heard lightning and thunder for the first time here and hail. Then the sky went blue. That's our weather up here. Just love it. It’s been in the 40's and to say the truth, I think I'm now acclimated to the weather, because it isn't bugging me. Well more till next time and some pics!
